"After having two extortionate quotes from two salesmen we then found GHE Solar who are only about three miles away, what a difference. Howards first visit was very thorough, he measured the roof, inspected the loft, garage, location of meter and fuse board. He then explained that we could have the inverter in the loft or the garage and how the two alternatives would be installed. The system we have chosen is 3.92kWp with the inverter in the garage, we also have a remote control unit in the lounge. This installation has cost us less than the two "salesmen" quoted for their 2kW systems. “After seeing the GHE Solar stand at the Royal Berkshire Show, I purchased a solar hot water system from them in October. The system included 2 evacuated tube collectors, controller, pump, new hot water tank and all the plumbing, electrics and so forth. The guys at GHE Solar were VERY good, there was no "hard sales", they were very knowlegeable and keen to help. I seemed to get prompt replies to emails at all hours of the day and night. The installation went as planned and worked perfectly, they worked hard and did a great job. After, they helped resolve queries for the grant application. Considering the costs of the components used and man hours required for the project, I'd say that the price was a bargain. Now (April) 2010 I typically have all the "free" hot water that I can use and even in the middle of winter I would often get a big "solar boost" to take some of the load off my boiler.”
